Town of Thomaston welcomes Patrol Officer Lorenzo Bacchi
THOMASTON — The Town of Thomaston announces the appointment of Lorenzo Bacchi as a Patrol Officer with the Thomaston Police Department. The Thomaston Select Board confirmed Officer Bacchi's appointment on May 11.
Officer Bacchi brings more than 11 years of law enforcement, emergency response, and military experience to the Thomaston Police Department. Prior to joining Thomaston, he served as a police officer with the Kennebunk Police Department and as an assistant team leader with the Southern Maine Special Response Team. Before relocating to Maine, Officer Bacchi served with the New York City Police Department, including assignment to the elite Emergency Service Unit, where he participated in specialized rescue, tactical, and emergency response operations.
Before beginning his law enforcement career, Officer Bacchi served honorably in the United States Marine Corps, attaining the rank of Sergeant and serving on deployments in Iraq and Afghanistan. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated a strong commitment to public service, leadership, teamwork, and community engagement, according to the Town of Thomaston.
“Officer Bacchi brings a wealth of experience and a strong record of public service to the Thomaston Police Department,” said Town Manager Kara George. “We are pleased to welcome him to our team and look forward to the contributions he will make in serving and protecting the residents of Thomaston.”
