Spring Plant Sale at Merryspring Nature Center

Friday, May 15, 2026 - 03:00 pm to 06:00 pmMerryspring Nature Center will hold its annual Spring Plant Sale on Friday, May 15, from 3 to 6 p.m., and on Saturday, May 16, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
This year’s Plant Sale will feature a wide assortment of annuals and perennials, as well as more than a dozen varieties of tomatoes.
"Among this year’s annuals are graceful lobelia, stunning begonias and salvia, and the ever-popular petunias and impatiens for your gardens and flower pots," said Merryspring, in a news release.
Perennials that were grown in the Merryspring greenhouse include pollinator-friendly cultivars of Delphinium, Nepeta, Monarda, Papaver, Echinacea, Digitalis, and others. The selection of herbs includes all the favorites, including basil, sage, and rosemary, according to the news release.
"This year’s sale will also include some special guests – classic hostas and other shade plants from Fernwood Nursery and wonderful dahlias from Dooryard Farms," said the release.
Divisions donated by Merryspring members from their own gardens will also be available.
Merryspring Plant Sale is generously sponsored by Camden Riverhouse Hotel.
Merryspring members receive a 10% discount on their purchases; non-members can get the same discount by joining Merryspring during the sale.
All purchases at Merryspring help to support the upkeep of Merryspring public gardens and continuation of the nature education programs for children and adults.

Volunteers Needed for Plant Sale
Do you have some extra time to help out at this year’s Plant Sale? Volunteers are needed to assist customers on Friday, May 15, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., and any time on Saturday, May 16, between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. We could also use help setting up tables and arranging plants on Thursday, May 14. If you would like to help out, please call the Merryspring office at 236-2239, send an email to info@merryspring.org, or stop by the Ross Visitors Center for more information.
How to Donate Plants & Garden Items
If you have plant divisions, extra seedlings, or other plants you would like to donate for this year’s Plant Sale, please include a note stating type and color. Divisions should be left on the ground next to the greenhouse; seedlings should be left on the potting bench in the main greenhouse. No invasive plants, please, and as weed-free as possible.
We also will have a table for any gardening tools, ceramic pots, and other garden-related items that you wish to donate. These should be left on the porch of the Ross Center.
Merryspring is your community nature center offering walking trails, cultivated gardens, wildlife, and ecology and horticulture educational programs all year round. The park is located at the end of Conway Road, just off of Route 1 in Camden behind Hannaford Shopping Plaza.
