ROCKPORT — Maine Coast Heritage Trust (MCHT) invites the public to celebrate Mother’s Day weekend with Calf Unveiling Day on Saturday, May 9, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., at its Aldermere Farm preserve, located at 20 Russell Ave.
This free, family-friendly event offers visitors the chance to greet the newest calves in Aldermere’s Belted Galloway herd and enjoy a behind-the-scenes tour of the barnyard.
Attendees will meet the 4‑H members and staff who care for the cattle and learn more about Aldermere Farm’s educational youth agriculture programs, as well as those offered at MCHT’s nearby Erickson Fields Preserve.
This year’s celebration will include live music by The Rusty Hinges Band, along with Stone Fox Creamery’s ice cream truck and Uproot Pie Co.’s mobile wood-fired pizza oven.
Aldermere Farm is a preserve of Maine Coast Heritage Trust, a statewide organization advancing the conservation of lands and waters in Maine to ensure ecological wellbeing and foster thriving communities.
