Handcrafted works of fiber art will be on display in the upper and lower levels of Rockport Public Library from August 5 - 28. The show features a selection of new projects by the members of the library’s Fiber Arts Collective. The exhibit will include a wide range of mediums and disciplines, including felting, needlepoint, knitting, embroidery, quilting, and paper art.

 

The group has been meeting at Rockport Library for thirteen years. Gatherings are usually informal, but mini workshops are also occasionally conducted.

 

"The friendly and diverse group is open to everyone and welcomes new members," said the Library, in a news release.

 

Meetings are held on the 1st, 3rd, and 5th Tuesday of each month, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m., in the lower level of the library.
