ROCKLAND — Rockland Police want to make the community aware that over the past few months, several unlocked vehicles, with the keys left inside, have been stolen from Rockland, according to a news release on its Facebook page June 17.

Additionally, several unlocked vehicles have been entered and rummaged through, some having items stolen from them, police said.

Rockland Police would like to remind people to lock their vehicles when left unattended, even if it is for a short time. Additionally, never leave your vehicle with the keys inside, even if you think they are hidden.

Police also remind the community that as always, officers are available 24/7 and can be reached at (207) 594-0677 (for non-emergency calls) or by calling 9-1-1.
