Open Rehearsal to welcome new Penobscot Bay Orchestra players

(Photo courtesy The Penobscot Bay Orchestra)The Penobscot Bay Orchestra will begin its 2026 Spring Concert session with an Open Rehearsal to welcome new players on Tuesday, February 3, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the John Street United Methodist Church at 98 John Street, Camden ME 04843.
Intermediate to advanced players are encouraged to attend the Open Rehearsal, or any regular rehearsal, according to The Penobscot Bay Orchestra, in a news release. No audition is required.
The orchestra will read through movements of the Concerto for Saxophone by Alan Hovhaness and other selections. Music and music stands will be provided.
The Spring Session begins on February 3 and culminates with concerts on May 9 and May 12 in Belfast and Camden. The orchestra is led by artistic director Deirdre McClure (DMA, Peabody Conservatory of Music).
