Only one local team qualifies for lacrosse playoffs
The varsity boys and girls lacrosse regular seasons have concluded and of the three local teams, only one team from the Midcoast has qualified for the playoffs.
That lone playoff qualifying team is the Camden Hills boys lacrosse team.
No local girls lacrosse teams qualified for the playoffs.
In the preliminary round, fifth-seeded Camden Hills received a bye. The Windjammers will travel to fourth-seeded Messalonskee on June 9 for the state quarterfinals.
The winner of the June 9 contest will advance to the state semifinals to be held on June 13, with the state championship being held June 16.
