AUGUSTA — It’s playoff basketball season and once again 106.9 FRANK FM (WBQX, Thomaston) will broadcast several tournament games from the Augusta Civic Center, featuring several schools from the Midcoast and Central Maine area.

The radio coverage will include the basketball teams from Medomak Valley Cony, Gardiner, Erskine Academy, Boothbay, Vinalhaven and North Haven. 

Don Shields will again be calling the play-by-play action, with Terry Spear and Chris Seavey providing analysis, marking the station’s 10th year of tournament coverage.

Along with being heard on 106.9 FRANK FM, the games will also be streamed via a link on the station’s Facebook Page at mixlr.com/1069bball.

Below is the tournament schedule, with later round coverage contingent on the results of the prior rounds. 

Quarterfinals

Friday, Feb. 14
Girls: Medomak Valley vs. Gardiner — Pregame starts at 5:15 p.m.
Girls: Erskine Academy vs. Lawrence — Pregame starts at 7:15 p.m.

Saturday, Feb. 15
Girls: Vinalhaven vs. Rangeley — Pregame starts at 10:15 a.m.
