UPDATED: Camden Hills wrestling finishes seventh in Class A state championships

SANFORD — The Camden Hills wrestling program sent seven of its wrestlers to compete at Sanford High School on Saturday, Feb. 15 in the Class A team state championships. 

As a team, the Windjammers finished in seventh place with 58 points. 

Placing individually for the Windjammers were Eric Andrews (second), Julian Henderson (third), Griffin Carnell (fourth), Ian Henderson (fourth) and Henry Pharris (fourth). 

106 pounds: Julian Henderson won by majority decision against Alex Marchand (Noble), lost to James Blood (Sanford), pinned Bryce Atkinson (Oxford Hills) and pinned Karter Crosby (Biddeford). 

113 pounds: Eric Andrews pinned Zachary Davis (Westbrook), defeated Cameron Frost (Bonny Eagle) and lost to Derek Cote (Noble). 

126 pounds: Joshua Saucier pinned by Jack Carroll (Massabesic), defeated Cole Brann (Gardiner) and pinned by Calvin Peck (Nokomis). 

145 pounds: Griffin Carnell lost to David York (Kennebunk), pinned Cameron Strout (Oxford Hills), won by forfeit against Caden Kowalsky (Mt. Ararat/Brunswick) and lost to David York (Kennebunk). 

152 pounds: Ian Henderson pinned Logan Rendell (Noble), lost by majority decision against Matt Pooler (Massabesic), defeated Mason Savary (Morse) and lost to Brett Raio (Mt. Ararat/Brunswick). 

182 pounds: Henry Pharris defeated Sean Wakefield (Massabesic), pinned by Dillon Worster (Oxford Hills), defeated Aushe Edmond (Biddeford) and pinned by Sean Wakefield (Massabesic). 

285 pounds: Benjamin MacWilliams lost to Patrick Excel (Noble) and pinned by Miguel Fillipe (Deering).
