ROCKLAND — The Oceanside varsity baseball team earned its sixth win of the season Wednesday, May 25 with a shutout victory over Lincoln Academy. 

The host Mariners tallied a trio of runs in the opening inning with neither squad plating another run for the remainder of the contest. 

Oceanside recorded 11 hits, committed no errors and stranded seven runners on base. Lincoln Academy, meanwhile, chalked up four hits, committed no errors and abandoned six on base. 

Working the mound for Oceanside were Austin Chilles (six innings, four hits, 11 strikeouts, one hit-by-pitch) and Connor Calderwood (one inning, two strikeouts, one hit-by-pitch). 

Pitching for Lincoln Academy were Riley Delisle (four innings, three earned runs, 10 hits, one strikeout, one walk) and Nick Prior (two innings, one hit, two strikeouts).

Notable hitters for Oceanside included Taygen McAllister (two singles), Calderwood (two singles, double), Duncan Oakes-Nelsen (two singles) and Chilles (double).
