Murder, aggravated assault, sexual abuse, domestic violence and illegal drugs in latest round of Knox County indictments
ROCKLAND — Following four days of hearing cases, a Knox County grand jury Oct. 10 indicted 28 people on 61 charges. A Belfast man accused of murdering a woman and attempting to murder her 21-year-old son with a shotgun is among the charges levied against the defendants listed below. An indictment does not imply guilt.
Travis W. Carter, 27, of Warren, was indicted for one count of elevated aggravated assault. Carter is accused of causing injury to another male while using a flashlight or a bat April 17 in Warren. This is a Knox County Sheriff's office case.
Steven E. Clarke, 49, of Owls Head, was indicted for tampering with a witness or informant and violation of condition of release Sept. 18 in Rockland. This is a Knox County Sheriff's Office case.
Steven E. Clarke, 49, of Owls Head, was indicted for burglary, aggravated criminal trespass, domestic violence assault and criminal mischief. Clarke is accused of illegally entering a residence in Cushing May 12, assaulting a female inside and damaging or destroying a window and/or a lamp belonging to the male homeowner. Clarke was previously convicted of one count of terrorizing and one count of assault Oct. 3, 2012, in Knox County Superior Court. This is a Knox County Sheriff's Office case.
Robert R. Demmons Jr., 38, of Owls Head, was indicted for theft by unauthorized taking. Demmons is accused of theft of metal from Steel-Pro Inc. in Thomaston Feb. 28, 2011. This is a Thomaston Police Department case.
Harland R. Edwards, 42, of Warren, was indicted for operating after revocation. Edwards is accused of operating a motor vehicle on a public way March 28 in Warren. Edwards was previously convicted twice June 25, 2008, for operating under the influence. This is a Knox County Sheriff's office case.
Matthew R. Donaher, 28, of Camden, was indicted for tampering with a witness or informant and violating of condition of release. While on pre-conviction bail, Donaher is accused of attempting to induce a witness or informant to withhold testimony, information or evidence in a pending case Sept. 15 in Camden. This is a Camden Police Department case.
Lucas J. Fisher, 30, of Wilton, was indicted for aggravated operating after habitual offender revocation and criminal operating under the influence. Fisher is accused of operating while intoxicated and with a revoked driver's license April 25 in Thomaston. Fisher was previously convicted of OUI Sept. 21, 2005, in Lewiston District Court, Sept. 6, 2005, in Lewiston District Court and March 9, 2007, in Cumberland County Superior Court. This is a Thomaston Police Department case.
Todd Gilday, 44, of Belfast, was indicted for one count of intentional or knowing murder, one count of attempted murder with a firearm and one count of aggravated assault with a firearm. Gilday is accused of shooting and killing 55-year-old Lynn Day and shooting and injuring her 21-year-old son, Matthew Day with a Mossberg 12-gauge shotgun. This is a Maine State Police case.
Stafford Goodman, aka Smurf, 27, of Biddeford, was indicted for one count of aggravated trafficking in schedule W drugs (cocaine) and two counts of aggravated trafficking in schedule W drugs (heroin). Goodman is accused of trafficking in cocaine and 6 grams or more, or 270 individual packages, of heroin in Thomaston Sept. 11. Goodman was previously convicted July 12, 2011, in York County Superior Court for unlawful trafficking in scheduled drugs. This is a Maine Drug Enforcement Agency case.
Carol Hooper, 71, of Appleton, was indicted for aggravated criminal mischief and assault. Hooper is accused of using fire to destroy clothing and/or cell phones and assault another woman Jan. 3 in Appleton. This is a Knox County Sheriff's Office case.

Jason E. Kurr, 31, of Rockland, was indicted for trafficking in prison contraband, unlawful possession of scheduled drugs and violation of condition of release. Kurr is accused of obtaining or possessing Suboxone while in official custody in Rockland April 29 and while subject to pre-conviction bail conditions. This is a Knox County Sheriff's Office case.
Brian Lee, 25, of South Thomaston, was indicted for aggravated trafficking in schedule W drugs (cocaine) and aggravated trafficking in schedule W drugs (heroin. Lee is accused of trafficking in drugs in Thomaston Sept 9. He was previously convicted June 26, 2012, in Knox County Superior Court of unlawful trafficking in scheduled drugs. This is a Maine Drug Enforcement Agency case.
Joshua E. Martel, 36, of New Orleans, La., was indicted for one count each of aggravated criminal trespass, assault and criminal mischief. Martel is accused July 6 of entering a private residence in Rockland, damaging a door and/or wall and assaulting and injuring an occupant inside. This is a Rockland Police Department case.
Robert J. Milhomme Sr., 59, of Rockland, was indicted for theft by unauthorized taking and receiving stolen property. Milhomme is accused of theft of more than $1,000 in weight lifting equipment from a resident in Tenants Harbor Jan. 12. This is a Maine State Police case.
Curtis Henry Moody, 44, of Warren, was indicted for four counts of violation of condition of release and one count of promotion of prostitution. Moody is accused of having prohibited contact with a victim June 18 and 30 and July 20 and 28 in Rockland. He is also accused of promoting prostitution in Rockland July 28.
Dusty Michael O'Brien, 30, of Warren (Maine State Prison), was indicted for aggravated assault. O'Brien is accused of assaulting a male in the prison while using a padlock as a weapon May 21, 2012. This a Maine Department of Corrections case.
Leroy Howard Parker Jr., 23, of Warren (Maine State Prison), was indicted for aggravated assault. Parker is accused of assaulting a male in the prison while using a padlock as a weapon May 21, 2012. Parker was previously convicted of aggravated assault Dec. 22, 2010, in Knox County Superior Court as well as elevated aggravated assault and robbery Nov. 21, 2011, in Knox Superior Court and domestic violence assault Nov. 13, 2008, in Rockland District Court. This is a Maine Department of Corrections case.
Christopher C. Robbins, 33, of Hope, was indicted for possession of a firearm by a prohibited person and driving to endanger. Having been convicted of a crime or found not criminally responsible of a crime by reason of mental disease or defect, Robbins is accused of illegally owning a possessing a firearm July 4 in Rockland, when Robbins is also accused of the driving offense. This is a Rockland Police Department case.
Daniel R. Roy Jr., 27, of Union, was indicted for theft by unauthorized taking. Roy is accused of theft of metal from Steel-Pro Inc. in Thomaston Feb. 28, 2011. This is a Thomaston Police Department case.

Smith is accused of trafficking in cocaine and 6 grams or more, or 270 individual packages, of heroin in Thomaston Sept. 11. This is a Maine Drug Enforcement Agency case.
Samuel Sanchez, 37, of Rockland, was indicted for aggravated assault and violation of condition of release. Sanchez is accused of causing injury to another male with a club as a weapon July 28 in Rockland. At the time of the alleged incident, Sanchez was on post-conviction bail. This is a Rockland Police Department case.
Alicia Santamore, 30, of Thomaston, was indicted for unlawful trafficking in schedule W drugs (cocaine), unlawful trafficking in schedule W drugs (heroin), violation of conditions of release and aggravated trafficking in schedule W drugs (heroin). Santamore is accused of trafficking in cocaine and 6 grams or more, or 270 individual packages, of heroin in Thomaston Sept. 11, a time when she had been granted pre-conviction bail. This is a Maine Drug Enforcement Agency case.
Kurt N. Schleicher, 49, of St. George, was indicted for criminal operating under the influence and operating beyond license condition or restriction. Schleicher is accused of operating under the influence Feb. 28 in Tenants Harbor. Schleicher had two previous OUI offenses within a 10-year period, having been convicted of OUI March 8 and Nov. 7, 2005, in Knox County Superior Court. This is a Knox County Sheriff's office case.
Addam L. Sheets, 26, of Camden, was indicted for sexual abuse of a minor and unlawful sexual contact. Sheets is accused of engaging in a sexual act with a 14- or 15-year-old female in Camden March 15. This is a Camden Police Department case.
Robert L. Sukeforth, 42, of Rockland, was indicted for violation of condition of release. While on pre-conviction bail, Sukeforth is accused Sept. 8 in Rockland of failure to enter or remain in a long-term residential facility for treatment of substance abuse. This is a Rockland Police Department case.
Christopher Tait, 27, of Camden, was indicted for theft by unauthorized taking for stealing jewelry valued more than $1,000 in Washington Nov. 17, 2012. This is a Knox County Sheriff's Office case.
John R. Taylor, 20, of Warren (Maine State Prison), was indicted for aggravated assault. Taylor is accused of assaulting a male in the prison while using a padlock as a weapon April 9. Taylor was previously convicted of two counts of robbery March 21 in Penobscot County Superior Court. This is a Knox County Sheriff's Office case.
Jonathan E. Thibeault, 34, of Brewer, was indicted for felony failure to appear (in court). While on pre-conviction bail for a charge of manslaughter, Thibeault is accused of not appearing in court Sept. 5.
Joseph A. Weymouth, 42, of Warren, was indicted for domestic violence assault, obstructing report of a crime or injury and criminal mischief. Weymouth is accused of assaulting a family member, blocking access to a phone to call for help and damaging or destroying the victim's clothing, glasses and other property July 17 in Warren. Weymouth was previously convicted of domestic violence assault Feb. 11, 2009 in Rockland District Court and on March 30, 2011 in Knox County Superior Court. This is a Knox County Sheriff's Office case.
Robert E. Woodham Jr., 38, of Lewiston, was indicted for trafficking in prison contraband and unlawful possession of scheduled drugs. Woodham is accused of obtaining or possessing Suboxone while in official custody Feb. 23 in Warren. This is a Knox County Sheriff's Office case.
