Mid-Coast Audubon bird seed fundraiser benefits education programming
Mid-Coast Audubon will be accepting bird seed orders through Saturday, March 14 to raise funds to support bird conservation and education programming.
Five varieties are available: Black oil sunflower seed, sunflower meaties (hulled), Sing Along (formerly known as Melody Mix), and suet blocks. Orders can be placed online at https://midcoast.maineaudubon.org/event/spring-bird-seed-sale/.
Seed must be picked up on Saturday, March 21, from 10 a.m. to noon, at one of two locations: Plants Unlimited, 629 Commercial St (Route 1) in Rockport, OR Lincoln County Publishing, 116 Mills Rd., Newcastle. Please specify on your order where you will pick up your seed.
“Replenishing your bird seed supply with the Mid-Coast Audubon Seed Sale is a win for the birds you feed, a win for your enjoyment of more birds visiting your yard, and a win for keeping our programs and properties, including a speaker series, field trips, environmental education scholarships, and preserve trails, free and open to all with the support of proceeds from this sale," said MCA President, Jeff Cherry, in a news release.
