Liz Hannibal Drury will read her children's book, Davis Goes Apple Picking, followed by a story book activity, Saturday, June 13, from 10 - 11 a.m., at Hope Library. For ages 3-8.

According to a Hope Library news release, Elizabeth (Liz) Hannibal Drury, a Hope local, considers herself an author/illustrator-in-training. As a former educator, Drury collaborated with students to write and self-publish Davis Goes Apple Picking, "a delightful children's picture book about Davis, the good, good dog," said the Library.

Drury likes to hear insights from children about what they notice and love, and even ideas for future stories, according to the Library.

Children will also get a sneak preview of Drury's next book about Davis the dog. Growing and learning alongside others is a lifelong passion for Drury.

Children will get to share ideas for their own writing and illustrating during the activity portion of the read aloud.

Light refreshments will be served.
