The Rockport Public Library welcomes The Children's Museum and Theatre of Maine and their stage adaption of the beloved novella, The Little Prince, to the Rockport Opera House on May 16, at 2 p.m.

"This event will bring families on a magical journey that opens with a pilot who crash-lands in the desert and encounters a young wisdom-filled boy from a distant asteroid," said the Library, in a news release. "As the Little Prince recounts his travels across the universe, audiences will meet a cast of curious characters-from a speedy Lamplighter and a clever Fox to a mysterious Rose. Through these fantastical tales, the Little Prince reminds audiences that what matters most is invisible to the eye."

This 75-minute production is free and open to the public.
