Knox County Sheriff Polky congratulates new Camden Police Chief Allen Weaver
Knox County Sheriff Patrick Polky issued the following statement July 13 following the Camden Select Board's confirmation of Allen Weaver as the town's new Police Chief:
"I want to extend my sincere congratulations to Chief Allen Weaver on his confirmation tonight," said Polky, in a news release. Having worked side-by-side with Allen at the Camden Police Department from his start in 2003 until my departure in 2013, I know firsthand his deep dedication to the town and its residents.
"As fellow veterans of the U.S. Army and Maine National Guard, I have always deeply respected his service to both our country, including his combat deployments, and our local communities.
While our professional paths have kept us in close contact over the last decade, I am incredibly excited to partner with him now in this new capacity. The Knox County Sheriff’s Office stands fully ready to support Chief Weaver and the Camden Police Department, and I look forward to continuing our strong county-municipal partnership to keep our communities safe."
