Happy Wanderers heads to McLellan-Poor Preserve in Northport
Event Date
Thursday, September 03, 2026 - 10:00 am to 12:00 pmJoin Coastal Mountains Land Trust, Sept. 3, from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m., on a guided hike along the trails of the McLellan-Poor Preserve in Northport.
The largely forested trail has minimal elevation gain and winds along the southern shore of Little River Lower Reservoir, according to CMLT, in a news release. The trail crosses several streams, which have created distinct ravines throughout the landscape. The guides will offer hikers a couple of options to choose from, ranging from 2.2-miles to over 3-miles.
This hike is part of the Happy Wanderers walking series, which explores preserves and trails throughout Knox and Waldo counties. Led by longtime Coastal Mountains Land Trust member Bindy Pendleton, these hikes offer a chance to learn more about the Land Trust’s work to conserve land and connect people with nature across the western Penobscot Bay region.
All are welcome.
