Five local tennis teams earn playoff berths

The varsity boys and girls tennis regular seasons have concluded and five teams from the Midcoast have qualified for the playoffs.
On the boys side, Camden Hills and Belfast are making playoff appearances, while Camden Hills, Belfast and Oceanside earned playoff berths on the girls side.
The preliminary round will be held May 29, the regional quarterfinals on May 31, the regional semifinals on June 2, the regional finals on June 5 and the state championship June 9.
Boys Playoff Picture
In Class A, Camden Hills completed the regular season with a perfect 12-0 record and finished at the top of the 10 team northern division. The Windjammers earned a bye in the preliminary and quarterfinal round, meaning they will not have a playoff contest until the regional semifinals on June 2, where they will host either Mount Blue or Bangor.
In Class B, Belfast concluded the regular season at 9-3 and is seeded fourth in the northern division. The Lions earned a bye in the preliminary round and will host either Ellsworth or Mount Desert Island in the regional quarterfinals on May 31.
Girls Playoff Picture
In Class A, Camden Hills completed the regular season with a 9-3 record and earned the fourth seed in the northern division. The Windjammers received a bye in the preliminary round and will host Mount Blue in the regional quarterfinals on May 31.
In Class B, Belfast wrapped up the regular season with a 6-6 record and secured the eighth seed in the northern division. The Lions will host Brewer in the preliminary round on May 29.
In Class B, Oceanside finished the regular season with a 4-8 record and secured the 12th seed in the northern division. The Mariners will travel to Ellsworth in the preliminary round on May 29.
