Group caught with heroin, cocaine, and crack cocaine

Five arrested following month-long Maine Drug Enforcement Agency investigation

    SWANVILLE — Five people have been arrested following a month-long investigation into “the illegal importation and distribution of heroin and crack cocaine in Waldo County,” according to a press release from the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency (MDEA).

    Three of those arrested are from New York, including Bobby Dean Berry, 22, who has been charged with unlawful trafficking in schedule W drugs (crack cocaine), Sean Rohan, 21, who has been charged with unlawful trafficking in schedule W drugs (heroin), and Princessayana Harris, 21, who is charged with unlawful trafficking in schedule W drugs (crack cocaine).

    Two Maine residents were also arrested including Christopher King, 30, of Swanville, who is charged with unlawful trafficking in schedule W drugs (heroin) and violation of bail. Taylor Andrews, 28, of Gardiner, has also been charged with unlawful trafficking in schedule W drugs (crack cocaine).

    According to the release, the arrests are part of ongoing drug enforcement efforts throughout Waldo County. Agents were assisted by the Waldo County Sheriff’s Office and the Maine Warden Service in their investigation.

    The investigation reportedly included ‘undercover purchases of heroin and crack cocaine from a group distributing from Christopher King’s residence on Harriman Road in Swanville. King is alleged to have assisted and allowed ‘a group from New York to distribute drugs from his residence to customers throughout the Waldo County Area.

    A search warrant on the residence was executed at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 2 where agents reportedly found King in the process of weighing and packaging heroin for resale. Sean Rohan was found in a bedroom trying to hide heroin. Law enforcement noted that approximately 14 grams of heroin were seized, in addition to packaging materials and $800 in “suspected drug proceeds.’

    While the search warrant was being executed, a vehicle operated by Taylor Andrews, and occupied by Bobby Dean Berry and Princessayana Harris, arrived at the residence. MDEA agents seized approximately 30 grams of crack cocaine, five grams of cocaine, and $2,200 in suspected drug profits from the vehicle and its occupants.

    All five suspects were transported to Two Bridges Regional Jail where bail was set at $10,000 cash for Berry, Rohan, and Harris. No bail was set for King due to bail violation and Andrews was released on unsecured bail.
