Our Town Belfast challenges public to find dolls hiding in plain sight
BELFAST — Our Town Belfast invites the public to explore Downtown to spot the Where’s Waldo dolls hiding in plain sight. Over the summer, one showed up sitting on top of the Opera House and delighted everyone who spotted him waving at people below, according to Our Town. This inspired a generous donor to gift more to OTB to “help bring more joy to the community”.
There are 20 Waldo’s around the historic downtown commercial district. Most are 1.5 feet tall, but a few are Barbie Doll size. They may be found in windows, on a roof, or hanging from a building.
"You just need to look around to spot them," said Our Town Belfast. "Please enjoy a stroll around town and take photos and tag Our Town Belfast when you post them to social media. The Waldos will not be out for long, so it is best to come quickly to find them."
OUR TOWN BELFAST is a community driven, inclusive, Main Street organization whose mission is to grow and sustain our historic downtown while celebrating our unique cultural heritage. We believe in supporting local businesses, honoring our heritage through historic preservation, and bringing together the community to make downtown Belfast an inclusive and better place to work, shop, play, and live. Our Town Belfast envisions a vibrant future in which our waterfront commercial district, treasured historic buildings, and outdoor public spaces are alive with inclusive, interactive, and multigenerational activity.
