Camden Select Board to meet this evening, Dec. 2, via remote access, only
CAMDEN — Given today's storm and its periodic transitions from rain to snow to ice, the Camden Select Board has agreed to meet via Zoom this evening, instead of gathering in person.
The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. and those planning to participate may do so here.
The meeting will also broadcast on the Town of Camden’s You Tube Channel. The best platform for listening and watching the video is the YouTube Channel, the zoom link is available on the agenda if you want to comment under non-agenda item or are presenting an agenda item that is on the agenda tonight.
The agenda includes discussions concerning:
a. an update of the short term rental municipal program;
b. proposed zoning mendments to be considered at a Dec. 18 public hearing. They reference municipal parkingh space minimums as stipulated by Maine legislation LD 427, An Act to Regulate Municipal Parking Space Minimums, which governs how many parking spaces a town or city can require for residential development; and, LD 65, An Act to Update the Definition of 'Coastal Wetlands' Under the Natural Resources Protection Act and Mandator Shoreland Zoning Laws. The latter legislative bill updates shoreland zoning boundaries.
c. the acquisition of Lupine Terrace and Linden Lane common lots;
as well as action items, which include:
a) confirmation of Town Manager’s appointment of Julia Merrill as new Town Clerk/Registrar of Voters
b) three-year windjammer licenses;
c) three-year daysailer licenses;
d) commercial fisheman applications;
The meeting will end with board members entering an executive session, the reason for which was not specified on the agenda.
