Blue Raven Gallery poetry reading series features David Baker with Page Hill Starzinger, July 22

Wednesday, July 22, 2026 - 07:00 pmPoets David Baker and Page Starzinger will read from their work on Wednesday, July 22, at 7 p.m., as part of the Blue Raven Gallery Poetry Reading Series. The event is hosted by poet Bruce Willard.
"Blue Raven Gallery Poetry Reading Series brings some of the most prominent and distinguished voices in poetry to the central Maine coast," said the Gallery, in a news release."David Baker is one of the major forces in contemporary American poetry," said the news release: poet of 12 books, editor of The Kenyon Review for over 25 years. "In the tradition of Emerson and Frost, a poet of nature and place with an unrivaled lyric feel for the connection between human and landscape."
Page Hill Starzinger's third poetry collection, Blood Brook, is due out March 2027. Past winner of the Barrow Street Book Prize she has poems forthcoming or have appeared in The New Yorker, American Poetry Review, Kenyon Review, and others.
"The readings take place in Blue Raven Gallery’s one-of-a-kind space, where poets and audience members are surrounded by a curated collection of some of the country’s best painting, photography, sculpture, and contemporary art," said the Gallery.
This is the first reading of the year, with more to come on August 19 (Kim Addonizio with Danny Caron) and September 23 (George Bilgere with Kimberly Priest).
