Arrest made in Alna house shooting
Jacob McInnis Jr., 18, of Whitefield, was arrested at his home at 12:15 a.m. Jan. 14 by Det. Sgt. Ron Rollins of Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office without incident.
McInnis has been charged with one count of with “Aggravated Criminal Mischief,” a class C felony, and one count of “Reckless Conduct with a Dangerous Weapon," a class C felony.
These charges are a result of a week-long intensive investigation which began Jan. 6, when the Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a house being shot on Head Tide Hill Road in Alna. This was a newly built home. The owners had just closed on the home that same day and were starting to move in. Six rounds from a small caliber weapon were discharged into the side of the home. There was no one home at the time of the shooting.
McInnis is currently being held on $1,500 cash bond at Two Bridges Regional Jail in Wiscasset pending his appearance in court.
