All aboard for The North Pole Express!
The anticipated "North Pole Express" event series begins this weekend in Boothbay, transforming the Boothbay Railway Village Museum into a magical Christmas wonderland for families. The event takes place on Saturdays and Sundays for three consecutive weekends, beginning Saturday, Dec. 6.
The North Pole Express
The train visits the North Pole eight times daily - first train departs at 10:45 a.m. and the last train is at 4 p.m. Event highlights include: a vintage train ride to the North Pole, where children can hand-deliver their letter to Santa, followed by a festive array of holiday activities around the village to include a hot cocoa bar and tasty treats, holiday-inspired arts and crafts, an elf hunt, ’mores by the fire, and more! Attendees can also enjoy local holiday shopping at Iron Horse Antiques and General Store, children’s books by Maine authors, and live music on select dates.
The North Pole Express event is an annual fundraiser for the Boothbay Railway Village Museum, and all tickets purchased help to sustain present and future operations. Event volunteers appreciated.
