Knox County Democratic Committee hosting a Primary Candidates Forum

The Knox County Democratic Committee will hold its next meeting Wednesday, May 13, from 5:15-7:30 p.m.

This is an in-person meeting at the First Universalist Church of Rockland located at 345 Broadway.  A short business meeting will be held at 5:15 p.m. and the candidate forum will begin at 6 p.m..  A Zoom link is available by request by emailing: knoxdems@gmail.com

The Knox County Primary Candidates’ Forum will feature those state and county candidates facing a primary challenger in this election. The races and invited candidates include:

State Representative District 41 (Camden and Rockport): Candidates Josh Gerritsen and Marcus Mrowka

State Representative District 43 (Thomaston, South Thomaston, St. George and villages, Cushing, parts of Owls Head): Candidates Rhiannon Hampson and Peter Jenks

Knox County Sheriff: Candidates John Hansen and Sheriff Patrick Polky

District Attorney: Candidates Barbara Cray and DA Natasha Irving

The forum will be moderated by KCDC Chair Greg Marley, with candidates responding to questions offered by the moderator and also from the audience. 

Candidates who are not facing a primary challenger will not be included in this forum but may be present. Prior registration for the forum is not required. 

The Primary Election will be held June 9.
