Owls Head heroin bust at Knox County Regional Airport
OWLS HEAD — On March 6, at approximately 3 p.m., the Knox County Sheriff's Office, assisted the Maine Violent Crimes Task Force, led by the U.S. Marshal's Office in apprehending two individuals wanted on felony warrants in Pennsylvania.
Deputy John Hansen arrested Scotch Hanning, 36, of Winfield, Penn., and Misty Hollenbach, 30, of Lewisburg, Penn., at the Knox County Regional Airport in Owls Head.
Subsequent to the arrest, Hansen and deputy marshals found approximately 115 packets of suspected heroin and approximately $520 in cash on Hanning, according to a news release from the Knox County Sheriff’s Office. They also discovered a loaded hypodermic syringe and several packets of suspected heroin on Hollenbach.
Both Hollenbach and Hanning were charged with trafficking a Schedule W Drug.
They were transported to the Knox County Jail without incident. Main Drug Enforcement Agency was called in to assist in this case for follow-up and continued investigation, the Sheriff’s Office said.
