Oceanside students voting March 3 can receive excused tardy, community service hour

ROCKLAND — Oceanside students eligible to vote in the March 3 elections have the opportunity to receive an excused tardy and community service credit.
Students who take a selfie outside their polling location or bring their “I Voted” sticker will receive an excused tardy and one hour of community service, so long as students are at school by 9:30 a.m.
Students will be expected to communicate with their teachers and make up any work they may miss while voting.
