United Midcoast Charities 2026 grant application window now open
United Midcoast Charities (UMC) opened its annual grant application window on March 1. Nonprofit organizations serving residents of Knox County and Waldo County in the areas of food, housing, health and safety, and economic security are invited to apply.
Each year, UMC partners with nonprofit organizations working directly with Midcoast residents to address urgent needs while building long-term stability for individuals and families. Through strategic investments in essential services, UMC supports programs that strengthen communities and expand opportunities for those who call Knox and Waldo counties home.
“We know that strong nonprofits are essential to strong communities,” said Larrain Slaymaker, Grant Committee Chair at United Midcoast Charities, in a news release. “Our Grants Committee looks forward to learning about the innovative and compassionate work happening across the region and supporting organizations that are making a meaningful difference in the lives of our neighbors.”
Nonprofits planning to apply for a UMC grant this year are invited to attend a Q&A session with UMC staff and members of the Grants Committee at the UMC Camden office on March 11, from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Registration is required as space is limited. Please email admin@unitedmidcoastcharities.org to register.
"The application window closes at 5 p.m. on March 31.
