Town of Thomaston welcomes Starbucks with ribbon cutting ceremony
THOMASTON — The Town of Thomaston is pleased to officially welcome Starbucks to the community following a ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating the opening of the new location.
Town officials joined Starbucks staff to commemorate the occasion and welcome the business to Thomaston. Participating in the ceremony were Town Manager Kara George, Economic Development Coordinator Kendray Rodriguez, Select Board Chair Chris Rector, and Select Board Members Will Eustis and Pete Lammert. Select Board Member Alan Blake photographed the event.
The addition of Starbucks represents continued investment in Thomaston and provides residents, visitors, and travelers with another dining and beverage option in the community. The Town appreciates Starbucks' decision to establish a presence in Thomaston and looks forward to the positive impact the business will have on the local economy.
During the ribbon-cutting event, Town officials also witnessed Starbucks Manager and staff members assisting Thomaston resident and volunteer Mimi Moore with loading a truck full of donations for AIO Food & Energy Assistance, a nonprofit organization serving Knox County residents through food assistance, energy assistance, and other community support programs. The willingness of Starbucks staff to support a local charitable organization on opening day demonstrated a strong commitment to community service and made a lasting impression on those in attendance.
"We are excited to welcome Starbucks and its employees to Thomaston," said Town Manager Kara George. "Not only are they bringing new jobs and investment to our community, but we were also pleased to see their staff actively supporting AIO Food & Energy Assistance during our visit. That spirit of community involvement is something we greatly value, and we look forward to having Starbucks as a community partner for years to come."
The Town of Thomaston extends its sincere congratulations to the Starbucks team and wishes them continued success. We look forward to their participation in the community and thank them for choosing Thomaston as the home of their newest location.
