Students of Camden Opera House’s annual Summer Theater Week to perform 'Snow White'
Camden Opera House’s annual Summer Theater Week roster is filled; some 52 youngsters will spend a week working with the acclaimed Missoula Children’s Theatre team to produce a show with music, costumes, set and fun. This year’s MCT tour show is “Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs,” and the public performance will be Saturday, July 12, at 3 p.m. at the opera house, 29 Elm St.
The fully staged production, with music accompanied by Joani Mitchell of Rockland, is the culmination of the Summer Theater Week led by MCT. This is the third summer Camden Opera House has brought the acclaimed theater training program to town, supported by the opera house’s Community Arts Fund.
The cast, upcoming first graders to high schoolers, and MCT tour actor/directors Alex Jones and Emily Provence, will present the show after just a week of intense preparation.
Tickets to the performance are $10, available via camdenoperahouse.com starting Tuesday morning, July 1; and at the box office 2:30 p.m. day of show. Seating is general admission. For more information, call the box office at 236-3154.
