FRIENDSHIP — Sally Elizabeth Lash, 62, passed away, Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at the Sussman House in Rockport following a battle with cancer.

Born in Castine, June 1, 1959, she was the daughter of Philip Lash and Rebecca Rice Lash Guptil of Little Deer Isle. Sally had a large family, including her step-mother, Janice Lash; siblings, Shirley, Philip, Albert, Chris, Aaron, Benita, MaryEllen, Heidi and Timothy; as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.

Sally had a special place in her heart for her partner Debbie Owens; special friends, Cathy and Dan; and her many friends at Friendship Trap.

She was predeceased by her mother, Rebecca Guptil; a sister, Robin; and a special aunt, Eleanor Lash.

After graduating from Medomak Valley High School in 1976, Sally attended the Stevens School of Bible. She later became a C.N.A. and worked at Fieldcrest Manor before moving on to become a private duty nurse. She
was later employed as a meat cutter at Franks Market/Lincoln’s Country Store. Most recently she has worked making heads for traps at Friendship Trap.

Sally loved spending time outdoors, sitting on the deck, planting flowers, and spending time at the beach. She could often be seen watching the clouds, looking for shapes and designs to appear.

She will be sadly missed by all who loved her.

Sally’s family would like to extend a special “Thank You” to the staff at the Sussman House for helping them through her last days.

At Sally’s request, no formal funeral will be held, however a celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
