RSU 71 elementary schools are preparing for Kindergarten screening for the 2026-2027 school year.

"If you have a child who will be 5 years old on or before October 15, 2026, now is the time to contact the appropriate school to request information," said RSU 71, in a news release.

Student screening at Capt. Stevens School and East Belfast School will be held May 14 and May 15.

Gladys Weymouth School will be screening kindergarten students May 21 and May 22.  

All student registration for the 2026/2027 school year will be done online.    

Once your child’s online registration has been processed, you will be contacted to set up a screening appointment for your child, according to RSU 71. 

Information for online registration will be available on your child’s school website.
