On Dec. 10, Knox County Regional Communications received a third-party call of a female yelling for help from the residence of 30 Keller Dr., in Rockport. 

Rockport Police Officer Colby Leavitt responded to the residence and observed a truck in driveway with the rear passenger door open, according to a news release from the Rockport Police Department.  

"No lights were on inside the residence, and no noise could be heard coming from the residence," the release said. "As Officer Leavitt was inside his cruiser, at the end of the driveway, he observed a male subject exit the house wearing only his boxer shorts. 

"The male closed the truck door as Leavitt confronted him.The male, later identified as Jordan Roling, 31, was detained for investigative purposes."

According to police, Roling had blood on his right hand. 

At the same time, Officer Leavitt heard several loud bangs against the front door of the residence, the release said.  

Leavitt requested assistance from the Knox County Sheriff’s Office and upon the arrival of a Deputy, Roling was placed in handcuffs.  Other members of the Knox County Sheriff's Office and the Camden Police Department arrived on scene.  The home was then searched to make sure no one inside was in need of medical attention, the release said. 

A female, identified as Abigail Ward, 25, had locked herself in an upstairs bedroom, police said.  Ward had two warrants of arrest for failing to appear.  Officers entered the bedroom and after a brief struggle Ward was placed under arrest, police said. Ward was initially taken to Penobscot Bay Medical Center for injuries she sustained prior to the officer’s arrival.

Roling was arrested for Domestic Violence Assault on Ward and Violation of Conditions of Release.

Ward was arrested for Misuse of Identification, Refusing to Submit to Arrest or Detention, Violation of Conditions of Release and two warrants for Failure to Appear.

Rockport Police were assisted by the Knox County Sheriff’s Office and the Camden Police Department.
