Rockland council authorizes lease agreement for Water Street police facility
ROCKLAND — During the July 13, 2026 City Council meeting, council members voted 4-1 (Kalloch) to authorize a Design-Build Lease Purchase Agreement for a police facility at 12 Water Street.
Having been reviewed by a real estate attorney at the City’s appointed law firm of Bernstein and Shur, a few minor details are still being ironed out, according to City Manager Tom Luttrell during the meeting. However, those details are not significant enough to alter the context of the agreement, according to him.
Council members did not provide any further discussion on the subject during either the July 13 meeting, nor the July 6 agenda-setting meeting.
The ordinance authorization on the lease agreement between the City and Rockland Harbor Park LLC, for Suite 215 at Rockland Harbor Park Center, 12 Water Street, goes into effect Aug. 12, 2026.
