A Daughters of the Witching Hill book discussion will take place October 29, at 6 p.m., at the Rockland Public Library, in the Community Room.
-
Daughters of the Witching Hill is a historical fiction book based on the English Witch Trials. Mary Sharratt has extensively researched the topic and created a story based on the lives she learned about while writing this book, according to the Library, in a news release. It is a heartfelt story based on the lives of the Southers family. Beth Southers is the matriarch who tries to save her family and best friend from the prying eyes and rumors of the townspeople.
-
"Ms. Sharratt brings to life the conflicts and difficulties the family endures as they struggle to survive the hysteria that sweeps through their small town," said the news release.
You will read the book on your own. The library can get a copy for you, then come to the book discussion on October 29, according to the news release.
All are welcome to attend.
The Rockland Public Library is located at 80 Union Street.
