(Photo courtesy Pine Tree Society)In celebration of its 90th anniversary, Pine Tree Society is officially inviting artists and — for the first time in the contest’s history — photographers to submit Maine-themed artwork for its 2026 holiday card fundraiser.
Since 1969, Pine Tree Society holiday cards have become an annual Maine tradition, according to Pine Tree, in a news release. Each year, thousands of supporters purchase these unique cards featuring original works by local talent.
"As one of the organization’s most vital fundraisers, all proceeds directly support programs that help Maine children and adults with disabilities lead active, socially connected lives," said Pine Tree.
“Our 90th anniversary is the perfect milestone to introduce photography to this long-standing tradition,” said Adria King, Chief Development Officer. “We are excited to see how artists and photographers capture the spirit of Maine to help us celebrate nearly a century of service.”
