Joel Tozier, obituary
Joel Tozier, 78, passed away on March 6, 2026. He was born on June 23, 1947, and lived a life marked by service, hard work, and deep love for his family.
Joel proudly served in the United States Marine Corps from 1967 to 1969. After his military service, he worked for Irving Oil for 30 years before retiring, earning the respect and friendship of many colleagues.
As a young man, Joel loved sports and was a talented baseball player. A highlight of his youth was playing on the championship baseball team in Searsport, which earned the team a trip to Fenway Park—a memory he treasured. He remained a devoted Boston Red Sox fan throughout his life. Joel also loved hunting and fishing and enjoyed the outdoors.
Joel is survived by his son, Jason and companion Ashley; grandchildren Hope, Hannah, and Faith; great‑grandchild, Wesley; brother Oscar; sister Janice; and several nieces and nephews, and great‑nieces and great‑nephews, as well as a special friend Rose.
Joel was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Jennie (Taylor) Tozier; beloved wife, Beverly; and several brothers and sisters.
A private Celebration of Life will be held this summer.
