Searsmont Town Library welcomes back the Pine Tree Flyers to the 'Live Outside the Library' concert series on Saturday, August 15. The concert will begin at 4 p.m. on the lawn (bring your camp chair) of the Community Center, "if the weather cooperates, in the Community Room if it is inclement," said the Library, in a news release.

 

Pine Tree Flyers are Katie McNally (fiddle), Emily Troll (accordion), Benjamin Foss (guitar), and Neil Pearlman (piano), all residents of Maine.

 

"They've cut their teeth playing for contra dances and touring the world playing Irish, Scottish, and Quebecois music and they bring this wellspring of knowledge and technical prowess to the American music born from these traditions," said the news release.

 

'Live Outside the Library' is made free to the public through the generosity of the Onion Foundation, the Friends of Searsmont Library, and fundraising by the library Board of Trustees.
