Owls Head Fire Department promotes two to lieutenant
Effective July 1, firefighters Jared Bonenfant and Daniel Quintanilla take on the title of Lieutenant in the Owls Head Fire Department. Both have been participating in officer level trainings and have been taking on stretch assignments over the past year for evaluation. Because of this additional participation in the firefighting field, they have both shown their leadership abilities and skills, said OFD Fire Chief Steven Hallett.
Hallett provides the following descriptions of Bonenfant and Quintanilla:
Bonenfant has served the town of Owls Head for over 5 years now. Jared has been diligently improving his skills and is a graduate of the Knox County Firefighter I&II academy. In his other career he works for Central Maine Power in the Engineering department and he resides in Owls Head. Jared is committed to his personal development and training as well as developing others. Jared is a leader and is looked up to at the Fire Department and we are very excited to see where his new role takes him.
Daniel Quintanilla has served the Town of Owls Head for over 5 years now. Daniel has been diligently improving his skills and is a graduate of the Knox County Firefighter I&II academy. Daniel also has worked hard over the past couple years to obtain his Advanced EMT license. In his other career Daniel works in the video editing field and he works for St George EMS and Rockland Fire and EMS and he resides in Rockland. Daniel is committed to furthering his development and education as well as helping others with their development. Daniel is a leader and is looked up to in the department and we are very excited to see where this new role takes him.
