Northern Light Cancer Care at Maine Coast Hospital’s Mary Dow Center welcomed donors and guests to tour the healing garden and infusion center, as well as learn about hair preservation technology – a new option for patients receiving care at the Mary Dow Center. 

Currently not covered by insurance, Cancer Care at the Mary Dow Center is able to offer a new hair preservation program to its patients thanks to donor support.

“Our care team is thrilled to provide access to this technology right here in Ellsworth,” said Cancer Care manager Courtney Wilcox. “Our patients deserve the best experience possible.” 

Maine Coast Hospital is thankful to Darling’s Auto Group for their investment in the hair preservation scholarship fund, helping to bring this technology to Ellsworth.

“We were pleased to have the opportunity to share more about hair preservation, immunotherapy, and other cutting-edge treatments offered at Mary Dow with the community,” said Joe Gaetano, vice president of operations, Maine Coast and Blue Hill Hospitals.
