Climate Resilience speaker series begins with 'What’s Going on with Solar Policy'
The Belfast Free Library will host the speaker series “Climate Resilience: What’s Going on in our Communities” beginning in September.
The first program in the series on Tuesday, Sept. 16, at 6:30 p.m., will be What’s Going on with Solar Policy. Emily Rochford, Community Engagement Manager at Maine Community Power Cooperative and John Luft, Residential Sale Manager at Revision Energy will present about what the current energy policies mean for solar options going forward.
The Climate Resilience in the library's Communities speaker series, presented by member organizations of the Waldo County Climate Action Coalition and the Belfast Free Library, will continue on Tuesday, October 21, at 6:30 p.m., with What’s Going on with our Fisheries. Clea Harrelson, UMaine doctoral student will discuss her research on the impacts the warming ocean is having on the lobster fisheries and how the communities are affected.
All programs will take place in the Abbott Room of the Belfast Free Library, with a zoom option.
