History of Maine Sporting Camps with Roger Moody at Hope Historical Society meeting
The public is invited to attend the next meeting of the Hope Historical Society, Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2025. Please note: The meeting will be held at the Hope Fire Station, Hope Corner. There will be a business meeting at 6:30 p.m., followed by guest speaker Roger Moody, who will talk about the history of Maine Sporting Camps.
After retiring as Camden’s Town Manager in 2002, Moody worked for several years as Vice President for Community Development and Government Banking at Camden National Bank, and was then elected for two terms as a Knox County Commissioner (2008-2016). He has served in leadership roles in community nonprofits in each of the municipalities in which he has resided.
He has authored four books about aspects of Maine history, written a dozen articles for Maine Boats, Homes, & Harbors magazine, and recently wrote an article published in WoodenBoat.
