'More aMazing Munyons' genealogy talk in Belfast
BELFAST — Join the Belfast Free Library and the Wawenoc Chapter of the Maine Genealogical Society on Wednesday, Oct. 15, at 2 p.m., in the Abbott Room of the Belfast Free Library, for a presentation by Rick Davis called “More aMazing Munyons.”
During a prior presentation, Rick Davis shared the stories of James Munroe Munyon, the patent medicine mogul, and Curtiss Munyan, who was on a submarine mission involving the Japanese Navy's war plan during World War II. During the course of his research for his book, A Genealogy of the Munyon/Lamunyon Family in America, he found information on many other amazing Munyons.
On October 15, he will present short sketches of four "More aMazing Munyons," and also demonstrate why genealogists should include FamilySearch.org's Digital Library in their own research.
This event is free and open to the public. It is an in-person event, with a Zoom option available. Please email spietryka@belfastlibrary.org to request the link.
The Wawenoc Chapter is the Belfast area’s chapter of the Maine Genealogical Society. It meets monthly on the third Wednesday at the Belfast Free Library. Genealogists of all abilities and skill levels are encouraged to join.
