The 1983/84 Boothbay State Champion girls’ basketball team and the 1986 Chuck Wagon/Steve’s Marine men’s local, state, and New England softball champions will be recognized as “Outstanding Teams” at the annual Midcoast Sports Hall of Fame banquet, October 18, at the Rockland Elks Lodge.

The Boothbay team, was the Mid-Maine Conference Runners-Up, Western Maine C Regional Champions, Class C State Champions, and also received the Western Maine Class C Sportsmanship Award. This was the first state championship for Boothbay girls’ basketball.

In 1986 Chuck Wagon/Steve’s Marine won the Rockland “A” division modified pitch softball title. They then moved on to the state tournament and beat Lapointe lumber in the state final. Their next tournament was in Keene, New Hampshire where they won the New England Championship.

The banquet schedule is a 5 - 6 p.m. meet and greet; 6 - 7 p.m. meal; 7 - 9 p.m. ceremony.
