ROCKLAND — Mid-Coast School of Technology invites students, families, community members, and alumni to attend its upcoming Open House + Career & College Expo on October 1, from 4 to 6 p.m., at its campus, at 1 Main St., Rockland.

Admission is free, and the event features giveaways, door prizes, and family-friendly activities throughout the evening. Additionally, the school's Bake Shop will be open during the event with items available for purchase.

Designed for middle schoolers, high schoolers, and adults alike, the Expo highlights career pathways, educational programs, and hands-on learning.

"School alumni are warmly invited to drop in, visit, reconnect with former teachers, and see how the programs and facilities have evolved," said MCST, in a news release.

Attendees can explore the building at their own pace with informal, self-guided tours to check out state-of-the-art labs, shops, and studios, as well as test interactive simulators, tools, and modern technology.

Event Highlights & Activities:

• Bake Shop Open: Stop by the student-run Bake Shop to purchase freshly made goods and support the program.

• Alumni Welcome: Former students are encouraged to stop by, reconnect with teachers, and share their career journeys with current and prospective students.

• Self-Guided Facility Tours: Walk around and explore specialized learning spaces, labs, shops, and creative studios at your own pace.

• Interactive Demos & Tools: Experience live CTE demonstrations, test out interactive simulators, and try hands-on equipment used in real-world industries.

• Early Pathway Exploration: Learn about program options available for 9th and 10th-grade students and explore technical careers before entering high school.

• Student & Mentor Connections: Meet inspiring high school students and ask them what the CTE experience is really like.

• Career & College Guidance: Connect with regional college representatives and employers, match personal passions to potential jobs, and receive guidance on certifications and job opportunities.
