Melissa L. Winslow, obituary

CAMDEN — Melissa L. Winslow, 50, went to be with the Lord, Friday, February 23, 2024, at Maine Medical Center in Portland.

Born in Rockland, November 10, 1973, she was the daughter of Bruce C. and Patricia A. Moon Hilt.

Melissa was a graduate of John Bapst High School in Bangor.

She married Jason A. Winslow in Rockport, October 16, 1999.

An avid and accomplished pool player, Melissa’s abilities at the table won her a trip to Las Vegas.

Her most recent and most loved employment was at Graffam Bros. Seafood in Rockport, where she enjoyed the comradery between fellow employees and customers.

Melissa was predeceased by her father, Bruce C. Hilt; her grandparents, Lynwood and Evelyn Hilt, Ellison ‘Ducky’ Moon and Abbie Moon Belyea.

She is survived by her husband, Jason A. Winslow; her son, Devin A. Winslow; her mother, Patricia Mahoney; her brother, Brian Hilt and his companion Karen Larson; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Melissa’s family sends a huge thank you to all the ICU-2 staff at Maine Medical Center, for the wonderful care they provided during her lengthy stay.

A Celebration of Melissa’s will be held Thursday, March 14, 2024, at 2 p.m., at Burpee, Carpenter & Hutchins Funeral Home, 110 Limerock Street, Rockland.

Spring interment will be at West Rockport Cemetery.
