MaineCF’s Knox County Grantmaking Committee welcomes three new advisors
KNOX COUNTY — Joelle Albury of Rockland, Maggi Blue of Warren, and Cyndi Prince of Camden are the newest members of the Maine Community Foundation’s (MaineCF) Knox County Grantmaking Committee.
MaineCF’s county committees are made up of community members who live or work in the county and serve as local ambassadors for the foundation, sharing their knowledge and providing on-the-ground local leadership for the foundation.
The Knox County Grantmaking Committee’s volunteer county advisors review grant proposals for MaineCF’s Community Building Grant Program and recommend grant awards from the Knox County Fund. Community Building supports a broad range of projects and organizations across the state, including arts, education, environment, economic development, and human services.
Albury is the outreach and office manager at Maine Coast Heritage Trust and serves on the steering committee of the Knox County Food Council and advisory boards of Knox County Gleaners and Knox-Lincoln 4H Leaders’ Association.
Blue is a metalsmith, graphic designer and the creative director at the Farnsworth Art Museum. She serves on the board of the Penobscot Bay Regional Chamber of Commerce and volunteers with local organizations, including Area Interfaith Outreach, Mid-Coast School of Technology and Pope Humane Society.
Prince is the creator of LooHoo Wool Dryer Balls and fitness instructor and serves on the boards of Sweetland School and Atlantic Academy.
Other committee members include Jessie Davis of Rockland; Mike Felton of St. George; Patricia Hubbard of Thomaston; Kat Richman of Appleton; and Sandy Cox, Ken Gardiner, Ken Gross and Martha Kempe of Camden.
In 2022, the Knox County Fund awarded nine grants totaling $53,307.
