Lois Rollins Teel, obituary
ROCKLAND — Lois Rollins Teel, 97, died Tuesday, July 14, 2026 at Bartlett Woods in Rockland. Her loving daughter was at her side.
Born in Rockland, February 8, 1929, she was the daughter of Milton V., Sr. and Lena Poland Rollins. She was educated in Rockland schools and was a graduate of Rockland High School, Class of 1947.
In 1948 she married her high school sweetheart, Robert S. Teel. The couple made their home in Rockland for 29 years, later moving to Rockport for 20 years. After her husband's death in 1997, she made her home in Owls Head and Thomaston for 8 years, moving back to Rockland in 2008.
She was a member of Littlefield Memorial Baptist Church since July 1964 and enjoyed serving as secretary there for over 20 years, as well as serving on various Boards and Committees of the church. She was a member of Miriam Rebekah Lodge of Rockland, Owls Head Extension, and Club '47 which originated in 1952.
In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her daughter Barbara J. Noyes in 1989; her son Donald R. Teel in 2007; as well as brothers, Harlan K. Rollins formerly of Texas, Milton Rollins, Jr. formerly of Florida; a son-in-law in 2020, Dawson Otis formerly of Florida; and a grandson Robert Dostie formerly of Washington in 2026.
She is survived by a daughter, Elaine Otis of Ocala, Florida; grandchildren, Michele Dostie of Washington; Andrea Seward and her husband Timothy of Pawtucket, Rhode Island; Christopher Otis and Sara Otis of Gorham, Jeremy Noyes and his husband Nicholas of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Robert L. Teel of North Carolina; as well as several great-grandchildren; nieces in Texas and nephews in Florida.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at 2 p.m., at Littlefield Memorial Baptist Church, One Waldo Avenue, Rockland. Private interment will be held in Village Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that friends make a donation to a charity of their choice, or to Littlefield Memorial Baptist Church.
