The Gulf of Maine Research Institute will be in Rockland on Wednesday, October 28, providing two public event opportunities to learn about resilience to coastal flooding and erosion in Rockland and beyond.
At 12 p.m., at Harbor Park, join GMRI, the City of Rockland, and Herring Gut Coastal Science Center to hear about planning for waterfront resilience in the face of sea level rise and learn to contribute flood impact data to a statewide community science effort.
At 1:30 p.m., at Snow Marine Park, join GMRI's ShoreCorps Steward to learn how to assess erosion on coastal properties and identify opportunities to use Nature-Based Solutions to build resilience.
