Knox County Criminal Docket closed cases

    ROCKLAND — The following cases were closed in Knox County Unified Court from Nov. 11-Dec. 7.

    Antonio Alvarez, 50, of Rockport, assault and violating condition of release, two counts, in St. George July 8, 2021, all dismissed.

    Geoffrey E. Barrett, 36, of North Haven, aggravated assault on North Haven April 8, 2021, dismissed; assault on North Haven April 8, 2021, $500 fine; assault, two counts, on North Haven April 8, 2021, $500 fine all suspended; criminal mischief on North Haven April 8, 2021, $500 fine all suspended.

    Troy Joseph Benner, 25, of Rockland, operating vehicle without a license in Warren Dec. 24, 2021, $250 fine.

    Khyllie Cochran, 18, of Warren, agreed to a two-year deferred disposition agreement Nov. 22 reached by the state and defense for charges including criminal conspiracy, theft, refusing to submit to arrest or detention, and disorderly conduct. If Cochran abides by terms of the deferred disposition, a felony criminal mischief charge will be reduced to a misdemeanor and several other charges will be dismissed. Cochran was charged with felony criminal mischief after a vandalism incident at Oceanside High School in July. Police reported that there was extensive damage done to an outbuilding and the surrounding property at Oceanside High School in Rockland. The damage included broken windows and derogatory graffiti that included swastikas and racial slurs. The case is also being reviewed by the Maine Attorney General’s Office, who reviews all cases involving potential civil rights violations, including those involving hate speech

    The two-year agreement states that Cochran must follow all terms of the deferred disposition including that she pay restitution of $3047.32 in installments to RSU 13, perform 200 hours of community service, abstain from alcohol, not return to Oceanside High School, and undergo a metal health evaluation and treatment.

    Tyler M. Coleman, 31, of Warren, failing to make oral or written accident report in Cushing July 1, 2022, $500 fine; failing to notify of motor vehicle accident in Cushing July 1, 2022, $500 fine, all dismissed.

    Tabitha E. Crouse, 38, of Windsor, domestic violence assault in Warren Jan. 22, 2022, acquitted at a trial.

    Kevin S. Defoe, 33, of Camden, theft by unauthorized taking or transfer in Camden Feb. 23, 2022, dismissed; operating while license suspended or revoked, two counts, in Camden Feb. 23, 2022, in Camden, both dismissed; criminal trespass in Camden Feb. 23, 2022, $500 fine.

    Dayton J. Dinsmore, 21, of South Thomaston, operating under the influence (alcohol) in Rockport July 26, 2022, $500 fine, license suspended 150 days.

    Jeffrey H. Dorr Jr., 41, of South Thomaston, theft by unauthorized taking or transfer, priors, in Rockland March 25, 2020, two years in jail with all but 30 days suspended, probation two years; violating condition of release in Rockland March 25, 2020, 30 days in jail.

    Casey Gilman, 24, of Appleton, operating under the influence (alcohol) in Union May 17, 2022, $1,000 fine, 48 hours in jail, license suspended 150 days.

    Carl Gross Sr., 58, of Vinalhaven, domestic violence assault on Vinalhaven June 6, 2021, $1,000 fine.

    Katlin M. Heath, 29, of Augusta, operating under the influence (alcohol) in Thomaston April 17, 2021, dismissed; violating condition of release in Thomaston April 17, 2021, $150 fine all suspended; driving to endanger in Thomaston April 17, 2021, $575 fine, license suspended 30 days; operating while license suspended or revoked in Thomaston Oct. 10, 2021, $250 fine all suspended; violating condition of release in Thomaston Oct. 10, 2021, $150 fine all suspended.

    Christopher Hildings, 36, of Vinalhaven, aggravated criminal mischief and violating condition of release, both on Vinalhaven Oct. 12, 2021, both dismissed.

    Kevin Hornby, 22, of North Haven, aggravated assault and assault, two counts, all on North Haven, April 8, 2021, all dismissed.  

    Raheem James, 28, of Rockland and Machias, burglary in Rockland April 7, 2022, six years in prison with all but 27 months suspended, probation three years; assault in Rockland April 7, 2022, $300 fine.

    According to the police affidavit filed in Knox County Court, James broke into a home on Summer Street during the early morning hours of April 7, 2022. The female resident of the home said he put his hands around her neck.

    The woman’s grandson heard her scream and James was briefly confronted by the relative after he jumped out of the bathroom window and escaped around the back of the building.

    Police were able to identify James as the suspect from a DNA sample from the bathroom screen of the window. The woman’s grandson also identified James from a photo lineup.

    James was on probation when he committed the burglary on April 7. The previous incident occurred in August 2020 in Rockland.

    Kathryn A. Kelley, 24, of Rockland, operating under the influence (alcohol) in Rockland Sept. 18, 2021, $500 fine, license suspended 150 days; violating condition of release in Rockland Sept. 6, 2022, $250 fine, all suspended; violating a condition of release in Rockland Nov. 8, 2022, 48 hours in jail.

    Jesse W. Knox, 32, of Appleton, violating condition of release in Appleton Dec. 9, 2021, five days in jail; operating while license suspended or revoked in Appleton Dec. 9, 2021, $500 fine, five days in jail; failure to give correct name or address or date of birth in Appleton Dec. 9, 2021, five days in jail.

    Kenneth H. Linscott, 63, of Washington, operating under the influence (drugs or combination) in Rockport March 12, 2022, dismissed; theft by receiving stolen property in Rockland March 4, 2022, dismissed.

    Eric Lutes, 40, of Columbia, operating under the influence (alcohol) on Vinalhaven Sept. 26, 2021, $500 fine, license suspended 150 days.

    Glen Allen Main, 63, of Raymond, N.H., operating under the influence (alcohol) in Rockland July 21, 2022, $500 fine, license suspended 150 days.

    Baylee Marr, 24, of New Portland, theft of services in Camden June 3, 2020, $250 fine, restitution $51.

    Brandon McClure, 25, of Waldoboro, operating under the influence (alcohol), one prior, $900 fine, 364 days in jail with all but 10 days suspended, probation one year probation, license suspended three years; operating while license suspended or revoked-OUI, $900 fine, seven days in jail, license suspended one year.

    Rebecca A. McLaughlin, 66, of Sidney, trafficking in prison contraband in Warren Feb. 29, 2020, dismissed; unlawful possession of scheduled drug in Warren Feb. 29, 2020, $400 fine all suspended.

    Amanda McLellan, 39, of Thomaston, operating under the influence (alcohol) in Thomaston Oct. 19, 2020, $500 fine; endangering the welfare of a child and failing to notify of motor vehicle accident in Thomaston Oct. 19, 2020, guilty on both charges.

    Michael A. McMahan, 54, of Owls Head, operating while license suspended or revoked in Rockland Sept. 3, 2022, $500 fine.

    Kelsie Morin, 18, of Rockland, theft by unauthorized taking or transfer in Rockland Aug. 11, 2022, $250 fine.

    Taylor Olsen, 30, of Rockland, probation violation on a previous conviction of domestic violence assault in Cushing Feb. 21, 2021, no sentence imposed.

    Markus A. Scott, 29, of Auburn, operating under the influence (alcohol) in Rockland Sept. 7, 2021, $750 fine, license suspended 150 days.

    Benjamin W. Tyler, 29, of Searsmont, hunting from stand or blind overlooking deer bait in Camden Sept. 10, 2022, $500 fine.

    Nicholas Upham, 22, of Tenants Harbor, operating under the influence (alcohol), no test, in Rockland, July 16, 2022, $500 fine, 72 hours in jail; license suspension 150 days.

    Katie M. Wiggin, 40, of South Thomaston, operating under the influence (alcohol) in Rockland April 22, 2022, $750 fine, license suspended five months.
