Knox County Criminal Docket closed cases

    ROCKLAND — The following cases were closed in Knox County Unified Court from Aug. 5-9.

    Roy A. Allen, 51, of Rockland, violating condition of release in Rockland Nov. 2, 2018, dismissed; disorderly conduct, offensive words, gestures in Rockland Aug. 15, 2018, dismissed.

    Ashley Rae Benner, 35, of Thomaston, unlawful trafficking in scheduled drugs in Thomaston Sept. 19, 2018, $400 fine, five years in jail with all but nine months, one day suspended, probation three years.

    According to the affidavit filed by the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency in Knox County Unified Court, a confidential informant told a MDEA agent that he could purchase Ritalin from Benner at $20 per pill. Police gave the informant the money to purchase the pills.

    On Sept. 19, Benner sold three pills to the informant for $60 in the parking lot of Montpelier in Thomaston, police said.

    Benner was interviewed by the MDEA Oct. 6 and during the meeting, she said that she was an addict, but denied selling the drugs, according to the affidavit.

    The charge of aggravated trafficking in scheduled drugs was elevated to a Class A crime since she had a previous conviction for stealing drugs in 2016 in Knox County Unified Court.

    Rodney L. Bridges, 29, of Waldoboro, violating condition of release in Rockland August 3, 2019, 48 hours in jail.

    Shawn I. Caron, 58, of Brooks, operating vehicle without license in Rockport June 12, 2019, $150 fine.

    Carlton J. Elliott, 30, of Waldoboro, probation violation for original conviction of eluding an officer in Warren Sept. 5, 2016, 10 months in prison, probation partially revoked.

    Sean Hunter, 37, of Bristol, obstructing government administration in Rockland Aug. 6, 2019, $250 fine.

    Russel J. Johnson, 35, of Tenants Harbor, molesting or disturbing lobster gear in Tenants Harbor Oct. 13, 2018, dismissed.

    Caleb Meklin, 25, of Thomaston, domestic violence terrorizing in Warren March 3, 2019, 364 days in jail with all but 30 days suspended, probation two years; domestic violence criminal threatening in Warren March 3, 2019, dismissed; criminal trespass, two counts, in Warren March 3, 2019, 90 days in jail; violating condition of release in Warren June 27, 2019, 90 days in jail.

    Corey Morris, 38, of St. George, failing to notify of motor vehicle accident in St. George Feb. 28, 2019, $250 fine, failing to make oral of written accident report in St. George Feb. 28, 2019, dismissed.

    Anthony Scott, 37, of Peru, operating under the influence (alcohol) in Warren Dec. 8, 2018, $500 fine, seven months in jail, license suspended 150 days; endangering the welfare of a child in Warren Dec. 8, 2018, seven months in jail; operating while license suspended or revoked in Warren Dec. 8, 2018, dismissed.

    Cheyenne E. Cesarini-Yelverton, 27, of Warren, operating under the influence (drugs or combination) in Union May 20, 2019, dismissed.
